CloudHealth collects and maintains a historical record of all the resources you use to operate your cloud, including their relationships. These can include both cloud-based (e.g. instances, volumes, VMs, Blobs, snapshots, etc.) and system-based (e.g. Chef nodes, cookbooks) resources. We proactively discover your assets, and then track change on them over their lifecycle. We organize your assets based on rule-based Perspectives, allowing you to report on both operational (e.g. applications, roles) and business perspectives (e.g. departments, product lines).

CloudHealth gives you the flexibility to see your cloud ecosystem based on the way you want to see your business – workload, environment, customer, department, or COGS. Our platform lets you define unique Perspectives for corporate stakeholders like finance, engineering, and operations to align cloud infrastructure with your business metrics.

Each Perspective contains Groups that reflect the way you want to assemble your cloud assets and services for analysis, management, evaluation, monitoring and measurement. For example:

  • Finance needs a Service Perspective. The Service Groups include: Mobile App, Web Hosting, Help Desk
  • Engineering requests an Environment Perspective. The Environment Groups include: Development, Test, Staging, Production.

CloudHealth lets you easily define your Perspectives based on naming conventions unique to you - tags or any metadata across the environment. But most importantly, We enable you to create dynamic groups that automatically update as changes occur or new infrastructure is added eliminating tedious ongoing management.

Perspectives are used throughout the CloudHealth platform to define data set analyses, cost allocation, reports, alerts, budgets, and reserved instance management. They can be combined to create specific data intersections like: Environment by Customer, or Product Line by Environment.

With CloudHealth Perspectives you have everything you need to see your business in the cloud.
