7 Survival Tips for Microsoft Ignite 2017
Microsoft Ignite is just around the corner! This year the conference will be held September 25-29th in Orlando, Florida. Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with fellow members of the Microsoft community, and learn about new and enhanced products and services. Once you have registered, follow these survival tips to make the most of your time at the conference.

1. Decide your session level
Microsoft offers four levels of sessions so every attendee can get the most out of their experience. Levels include Foundational, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert.
#PROTIP: You may be a Microsoft Expert, but keep in mind that many customer showcase sessions are labeled “Intermediate.”
2. Plan your calendar in advance
Once you’ve decided your session level, start looking for sessions that interest you. The Session Catalog has been posted, and includes over 1000 sessions!
#PROTIP: The Schedule Builder is now live! Login to MyIgnite to access it, and be on the lookout for the release of the mobile app!
3. Wear comfortable shoes
When packing for a conference you have to remember that you will be on your feet all day and will walk several miles trekking between the exhibition showcase, sessions, and keynotes. Leave your fancy footwear at home, and wear comfortable shoes. Your feet will thank you.
#PROTIP: Purchase insoles to make your shoes more comfortable.
4. Don’t miss the keynote and general sessions
Monday morning, Microsoft will hold an opening keynote and general sessions that you won’t want to miss. Take a sneak peak at the list of featured speakers.
#PROTIP: Keynotes and general sessions typically include big announcements about new products and features.
5. Visit the Expo
Make sure you carve out time in your schedule to visit the Expo. Here you have the opportunity to connect with Microsoft partners and learn about their solutions. Sign up in advance to meet with one of our cloud management experts at Booth 2107!
#PROTIP: The Expo is a great place to network and get free swag!
6. Join the conversation
If you have social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, you can get in on the action. Ask questions, get the latest event updates, connect with attendees, and share your experience.
#PROTIP: Make sure to include #MSIgnite in your posts.
7. End your week right — attend the celebration!
After a long week of learning and networking, kick back and have some fun at the Microsoft Ignite Celebration! This year Microsoft reserved both Universal Orlando Resort™ theme parks!
Details: 7:30 pm to 12:00 am on Thursday, 9/28
#PROTIP: Get to your favorite roller coasters and attractions early to beat the lines.
